Since February 2014 MVIWATA in partnership with a French organisation called Tamadi, commenced a rural tourism initiative in which rural tourists from France and Belgium have been visiting villages of Tanzania in a 22 days tour. By June 2014 13 tourists (8 women and 5 men) visited the villages of Tanzania and lived with farmers.
The objectives of this initiative are the following:
1. To provide capital to rural communities involved in the initiative
2. To promote intercultural exchanges while promoting the culture of small holder farmer of Tanzania to the visitors.
3. To promote protection of indigenous culture and environment
4. To create long term sustainable means of income for MVIWATA.
