MVIWATA and VECO Tanzania are being worked in partnership since 2005 for the purpose of empowering and building capacity of small-scale farmers in terms of facilitating formation and development of their commodity groups and networks at the grass root and district levels; training; facilitating agricultural market chains for food & income security; improving advocacy capacity of farmers, and institutional strengthening of MVIWATA.
Currently, the partnership programmes are implemented in two programme areas of Mkuranga District (Coast Region) and Simanjiro District (Manyara region). In these districts MVIWATA and VECO are working towards creating sustainable producer groups and networks that can market collectively their produce in focus of Cassava, Onion, local chicken and Goats value chain.
