STRATEGIC GOAL 1: The peasantry, of women and men of all ages, is respected and valued as an important group in society that plays a unique role in the national economic system and in the national and global food system. This unique dignity, value and responsibility should lead to access to quality and appropriate social services for smallholder farmers including education, roads, health, water and energy.
STRATEGIC GOAL 2: Existence of a production system built on resources, cultures and traditions, environment, skills and needs of the smallholder farmers aimed at building ownership of the agricultural system to smallholder farmers themselves. This production system respects and protects natural resources, ecology and biodiversity and the right of smallholder farmers, women and men, to benefit from their environment.
STRATEGIC GOAL 3: The existence of a land tenure, management and justice system that provides protection and assures the smallholder farmer the certainty of access to and ownership of land as the basis of ones life. This system should be a tool to eliminate land grabbing, land disputes and harassment against smallholder farmers.
STRATEGIC GOAL 4: Elimination of exploitative systems that undermine the well-being of smallholder farmers on crops and oppressive loans to enable smallholder farmers to earn the same benefits which match their efforts.
STRATEGIC GOAL 5: Existence of a social system that builds justice, dignity and equality for all genders and ages without discrimination, oppression and denial of all forms of sexual violence, especially against women, youth and children, and which provides the opportunity for all to participate in production, ownership of resources, leadership and decision-making.
