This is a three (3) years project aiming at strengthening farmer organisations for effective service delivery in South Tanzania.Overall, the project aims at improving economic, social and environmental welfare of the farmers in Lake Nyasa.
The project started in 2010 and 2014 marks the second phase of the implementation and serves
the following purposes:-
i. To improve the livelihood of MVIWATA members.
ii. To reduce poverty and protect the environment in Ludewa and Kyela Districts.
Specifically, it addresses the challenges related to low agricultural productivity, land management,
environmental conservation, access to market and access to financial services in the respective
Districts.
