This is a one year partnership project with VI Agroforestry initiated in March 2014. The project aims at strengthening middle networks of MVIWATA in Kagera, Mwanza and Mara Regions. It builds advocacy skills and capacity of farmers and organisations that form a Farmers Organisations in Agroforestry (FOA) consortium, a VI-Agroforestry partnership initiative.Thence linking local policy issues with national level advocacy platforms. The project expects that the overall engagement of small scale farmers in the Lake Zone regions will gradually improve with their increased capacity in advocacy.

Objectives of the project are;

1. To strengthen capacities of MVIWATA and its member organisations in Kagera, Mwanza and Mara Regions for effective service delivery

2. To strengthen capacities of MVIWATA, member organisations and its partners in Kagera, Mwanza and Mara regions on lobbying and advocacy to influence policy change on issues constraining small-scale farmers rights.
